Variational-composite hybrid fixed point iterative method for the solution of three-point boundary value problems of fourth order differential equations

Abstract

Avariational–composite hybrid iterative scheme is developed and used to solve fourth order three-point boundary values problems. The concept, development and applications of fixed point iteration method for the solution of fourth order ordinary differential equations are highlighted. The method shows a strong convergence which makes it an efficient and reliable technique for finding approximate analytical solutions for both linear and non-linear fourth order boundary value problems. Experiments carried out confirm its accuracy.
