A hybrid of Milne’s linear Multi-step method and its solution to some test problem in ordinary differential equation
Abstract
Milne’s linear Multi-step method is a very powerful Numerical tool for the solution of initial value problems IVP in ordinary differential equation, but not with some error differences when compared with the exact solution of any given test problems. This paper present a hybrid (little shaft) of Milne’s Method by the substitution of the Predator of Milne’s linear multi-step method with Range-kutta of IV and retaining the Corrector of the same method. Various tabular result were presented at different value of h (the mesh size) to test the convergence and accuracy of the Hybrid method by comparison with the analytical solution.
