A survey of white-throated monkey (Cercopithecus erythrogaster) in Okomu National Park, Edo State, Nigeria was conducted to estimate the population density. Line transect method of wildlife population determination was adopted. Two censuses were carried out in each of the eight transects (2.0km length, 0.02km width and at interval of 1.0km) randomly selected in a period of one month. Direct method of animal sighting was employed. Mean population density of white-throated monkeys in Okomu National Park was 14/km2, implying that hunting activities was low in the Park.
