Dressing Percentage of Broilers Fed Graded Levels of Sweet Potato Meal
Abstract
This study examined the effect of the inclusion of different levels of Sweet potato meal (SPM) on the dressing percentage of broiler birds from day old to 49days.Six rations A,B C D E and F with 10%,20%,30%,40% and 50% inclusion of Sweet Potato meal(SPM) were compounded.
The highest Dressing percentage without giblet 88.40%,was obtained from birds fed ration F(50% SPM), while the lowest Dressing percentage(85.38%) was obtained with birds fed Treatment A(the control ration). The difference between treatment rations were however not statistically significant(P>0.05).
