Perception and attitudes of librarians towards the adoption of digital records management in university libraries in south-south, Nigeria
Abstract
The study examined the perception and attitude of librarians towards the adoption of digital records management in university libraries in South-South Nigeria. The study adopted the descriptive survey research design. The population of the study is 284 respondents drawn from all the university libraries in South-South, Nigeria. The sample size for this study was 284 respondents and the total enumeration sampling techniques was used. The instrument for data collection was the questionnaire, the data collected were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings from the study indicated that librarians have negative attitude towards the adoption of digital records management in university libraries in South-South, Nigeria and the extent to which they were willing to adopt digital records management was low.
