Analytical Study of Algeria's Innovation Ranking Based on the Main Criteria of Input and Output Indicators of the Global Innovation Index
Abstract
The objective of this research paper is to clarify the general framework of innovation in organizations in terms of concept and importance, identify its types, factors affecting it and its basic sources, explain how organizations become more innovative, clarify the method of measuring innovation within organizations, in addition to analyzing the relationship between Algerian investments in Innovation and innovation outcomes. The results of the study showed that Algeria’s performance in the field of innovation is lower than expectations regarding its level of development during the year 2022, with it occupying 115th place out of 132 countries. However, its performance was above average for the group of lower middle-income countries in terms of human capital and research. It ranked fifth (5) out of 132 countries in terms of gross capital formation as a percentage of gross domestic product, reaching 32%, which is a high percentage that is considered a strength for innovation and investment together.
