Counselling as a psychological approach to fostering appropriate learning behaviour in Nigerian secondary school students
Abstract
The focus of this paper is on counselling as a psychological approach to fostering appropriate learning behaviour in Nigerian secondary school students. The paper drew attention to the confrontation, mentoring, behavioural, appraisal, and standards blending models to appeal to the consciences of students with inappropriate learning behaviours in order to effect a change for better results in learning outcomes. In view of this, it is imperative that every school should have a functional counselling centre with at least two professional counsellors.
