Summary of Author Submission Guidelines
Submissions
All submissions can be submitted on the online platform or alternatively be sent to sent JCPR@nwu.ac.za.
Following the formatting requirements as set out below.
Two separate manuscripts must be submitted to the editorial office:

Editorial Policies
Article Processing Charges (APC)
The article processing charges with the JCPR after final peer review and editorial board approval amount to $100.
The JCPR does not charge any article submission fees, and authors will be notified after manuscript approval on payment requirements.
Language Policy
The JCPR invites authors to submit article manuscripts written in English. The JCPR does not require authors to language edit manuscripts, however authors are advised to ensure that adequate language use is used within manuscripts.
Open Access Policy
The JCPR is dedicated to the advancement of Open Access publishing and supports the publication of full-text research manuscripts.
Copyright and License Terms
JCPR publishes all articles under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence. This allows for others to distribute, remix, and build upon the published work, as long as the original author is credited for their contribution. DOI and CrossRef
The JCPR assigns a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to each research article via Crossref. This allows for quick and easy identification of specific articles for citation and retrieval purposes. Plagiarism Policy
The JCPR utilises plagiarism detection software, and all submitted manuscripts will be verified for originality.
Errata/Retractions
The JCPR is dedicated to scientific integrity. In the instance of scientific misconduct or minor or honest errors, inquiries may be directed to the editorial board.
Errata
In the instance of any errors, whether they be minor or honest mistakes, which do not diminish the scientific integrity of the published manuscripts, the editorial board holds the right to the final decision regarding the correction of published manuscripts.
Retractions
If there is evidence of scientific misconduct or an honest error that compromises the scientific integrity of a published manuscript, the editorial board will retract the paper and launch an official investigation. This will involve independent peer reviewers and the editorial board.
Once the investigation is complete, the editorial board will make the final decision on whether or not to republish the manuscript. Retracted manuscripts will not be reimbursed for the initial Article Processing Charges (APC).
Complaints
The JCPR is open to receiving complaints regarding the content, policies, and procedures of the journal. All complaints will follow a strict investigation procedure, and parties (based on the extent of the complaint) may be asked to substantiate the claim(s). Complaints are welcomed as they may increase the transparency, effectiveness, and scientific integrity of the journal. All complaints can be directed to the editor-in-chief.
Conflict of Interest
All and any possible conflicts of interest must be disclosed within all submitted manuscripts. This includes, but is not limited to, the personal or financial relationships, affiliations, or connections between authors and companies that may be related to the subject matter of their article and/or the publishing of an article.
Content: This disclosure is a requirement for the submission of a manuscript and is published in the article itself.
Confidentiality
All stakeholders associated with the JCPR are committed to the protection of any personal or identifiable information of authors, as per the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 of the Republic of South Africa. The JCPR has implemented a strict data management policy that ensures that all personal and identifiable information is handled according to the principles of the Act.
