Abstract
Chronic Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection, is endemic in Nigeria. Efforts to curtail the spread by way of prevention, diagnosis and treatment, have been inadequate and the disease has continued to pose great challenge to the third world as evidenced by its endemicity in Nigeria. The current review highlights the clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment strategies.
