The management of the International Diplomatic Review Journal recognizes and will continue to honour the contribution of the late Prof Honest Ngowi as among the founding editorial board members who worked tirelessly to ensure that the Journal succeeded.
Peer Review
Upon receipt of an e-manuscript (MS) for publication, the editor-in-chief subjects it to an initial screening for originality and plagiarism test.
An MS adjudged compliant is assigned a reference number and emailed to two independent reviewers selected from within and outside the editorial and advisory board with accompanying Instructions to Authors and Assessment Form/Reviewer’s Guidance.
The duration of a double-blind peer review is 2 – 6 weeks with reminders where necessary. Reviewers comment on the MS originality and quality (word version) [within the text, and using the comment icon], and also complete the assessment form commenting on the MS from Introduction to reference sections, and finally rank the MS from poor (reject) to excellent.
PDF copies of the completed blinded assessment form and the peer-reviewed MS with annotated comments are forwarded to the corresponding author (CA) for implementation within a week. The corresponding author’s responses are vetted by the editor-in-chief, who might provide further corrections until the editor-in-chief is satisfied.
The editor-in-Chief finally approves the reviewed MS for publication. An acceptance letter with a request for payment of specified Article Processing Charge is issued for every successful MS. When payment evidence is received, the galley proof is emailed to the CA for final correction before uploading on the journal website.
Publication Scheduling
This journal publishes two issues in one volume per year.
