Per una nuova scienza: Teoria della metroanalisi

Abstract

Metricology, that is the study of metrike techne, is, broadly speaking, a science as ancient as poetry and literature. However, in the course of time, metricology has focused on performance of verse, that is the craft of poetry almost, and only recently has it begun to tackle the substantive question, in other words the deep and profound origins of poetry. At the same time, it should be noted that metricology, especially in Italy, has not been recognised as an autonomous and objective discipline, which is both theoretical and experimental. For a long time, metricology has been associated with the subjectivity of the individual scholar. This article proposes a new technique of metric analysis, which we will call Metroanalysis. This new technique uses the tools offered by six disciplines: metricology, psychology (mainly psychoanalysis but also analytic psychology and Gestalt psychology), rhetoric and theory of literature, history of literature, linguistics and musicology.
