The relevance of language in the process of indigenising life skills education in South Africa: A social work perspective

Abstract

Language is perhaps the single most important factor in educational efficiency and highlights the long term consequences for academic achievement. Language enhances positive academic achievement when one learns to read and write in a language he does speak well.
