Abstract
Fifty samples of high vagina swab (HVS) from females and fifty samples of urine from males were collected from Don Bosco Medical Centre, Araromi area, Hope Specialist Hospital, Oyemekun area and Public Health laboratory, Oke-Eda. A total of hundred (100) persons were examined in both male and female of symptomatic and asymptomatic patients among sexually active age of 18-45 years. Samples were examined using Direct Microscopic Examination for the presence of Trichomonas vaginalis.None was positive for the protozoan parasite in the male samples while three (3) samples were positive for protozoan parasite in the female samples between ages 18 - 45 years. Two positive samples were found in Don Bosco Medical Centre, Araromi area. One positive sample was found in Public Health Laboratory, Oke- Eda area. No positive sample was found at Hope Specialist Hospital, Oyemekun area.
