Conceptual design of a solar tower power plant with a co-generative
Abstract
This paper presented a dynamic method of electrical energy generation for productive use by utilizing the inexhaustible energy of the sun. It describes in details the design and operation of a re-innovated solar power plant with a co-generative organic rankine system as the bottoming cycle. It involves heat energy being captured and used to generate steam, which drives a steam turbine to produce electrical energy from the alternator. The low temperature exhaust steam from the steam turbine is in turn utilized to vaporize an organic working fluid, which drives the organic turbine to produce electricity from another alternator.
