The use and consequences of information technology in Nigerian libraries

Abstract

This paper examines the importance of information technology in Nigerian libraries. It discusses the intricacies involved in using computers and call for a proper orientation and understanding of librarians on the use of appropriate packages suitable to the information responsibility of their libraries. It was suggested that the use of computer would go a long way in assisting the libraries to meet the information needs of their clienteles.
