Traduction et Intertextualite

Abstract

La traduction et l’intertextualité sont des termes liés au texte qui ont beaucoup retenu l'attention au cours des dix dernières années. Ces deux termes étant toujours mentionnés ensemble, la confusion quant à leur démarcation est devenue monnaie courante, justifiant la tentative de la chercheuse à tenter de tracer une ligne de démarcation entre les deux termes, malgré le chevauchement des fonctions imminentes dans les deux. Dans cette tentative, des efforts ont été déployés pour expliquer clairement les deux termes, faisant ressortir leurs formes et leurs fonctions. Afin d'élucider la source de la confusion qui existe dans la compréhension des deux termes, la chercheuse s'est efforcée de faire ressortir les aspects qui se s’entrelacent dans leur pratique. Au cours de la recherche, il était découvert que l’intertextualité et la traduction sont deux faces d’une même pièce, se complétant de manière complémentaire, chaque partie ayant besoin de l’autre pour fonctionner.

Translation and intertextuality are text related terms that have received much attention over the last ten years. These two terms have been mentioned together severally that confusion as to their demarcation has become rife hence an attempt by the researcher to draw a line between the two terms, despite the overlapping of functions imminent in both. In this attempt, effort has been made to clearly explain the two terms bringing out their forms and functions. To elucidate the source of the confusion existing in the understanding of the two terms, the researcher has made efforts to bring out the overlapping aspects of their practice. It was discovered in the course of the research that both intertextuality and translation are two sides of the same coin, each side complimenting the other and each needing the other to function.
