Peer Review
The Editorial Board coordinates the peer-review process. For each journal issue, the articles are peer-reviewed using the double-blind peer-review system. The review system is a fully established structure that comprises a supervising consultant (usually an academic professor) in the specialty on focus for that edition. Other appointed consultants oversee the students; construction of the whole edition. They and the rest of the editorial consultants advise on decisions on topics, from reviewing to galley proofing. Under the deputy editor-in-chief, the student members do a preliminary review to request changes to conform to the guidelines (word length, tables, pictures, consent, references, etc.). They decide what to accept or reject and if it meets the basic standard of the journal. Editorials, Special features, and other articles are copied and sent to be reviewed blindly by their peers and other specialists in the same field but in different institutions in Nigeria as recommended by the editorial consultants. The current editor-in-chief then decides on every journal edition's articles and other content. The author is given a maximum of four weeks to make all corrections to the article and submit the article back to the Editorial board. After all corrected articles are received, the Editorial Board and the supervising editorial consultant decide.

The journal publishes one issue in one volume per year.
