Utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)services by students of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the level of utilization of the services provides by the ICT Center of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi. Six research questions were provided which were answered accordingly in the course of the research. Six hundred (600) samples of the respondents (students) were drawn from the area under study; four hundred and sixty four (464) sets questionnaires were collected and analyzed. Findings revealed major services provides by ICT Center of the university. Such services include internet, portal, network, printing etc.the research revealed that, 73.49% of the respondents are aware of the services provides by the center. Of the total percentage of the respondents, however, 20.91% use the center occasionally, while 20.47% use the center very often. A workshop and other training programmes should be organized to expose students or users with necessary skills required for operating the facilities available for use in the center.
