Conflict resolution in libraries
Abstract
Despite popular conceptions about the library, it is an organization significantly impacted by conflict, sources of which may include friction among librarians, between librarians and faculty lecturers, librarians and clients or even between different cadres of library staff both vertically and horizontally. The paper looks at the concept, types, causes, of conflict and processes of resolving conflict in the library in order to promote productivity among its staff and a sense of belongingness in library clientele.
