Green library and environmental sustainability in tertiary institutions in Imo State, Nigeria

Abstract

The study investigated green libraries and environmental sustainability intertiary institution libraries in Imo State. The researchers adopted a correlational design. The population of the study comprised185librarians in the three selected tertiary institution in Imo State.The instruments used for this study was questionnaire .The reliability of the instrument was determined by Cronbach alpha (SPSS version 23) . Mean and standard deviation was used in answering the research questions while Pearson Product Correlation Coefficient (PPMC) was used in testing the null hypotheses at .05 significance level. The study concluded that there no adequate preparations of green libraries in Imo State. Some useful recommendations were made which when implemented will increase the availability of green libraries in Imo State.
