The study employed survey and ex-post facto research design involving the use of observational checklist and interview for data collection. Two research questions were posed, while two hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance to guide the study. The population of the study consisted of 196 librarians from ten universities in the South East Zone of Nigeria. Hence a census of the population was used while data were collated and analyzed using frequency counts and proportion. The hypotheses were tested using t-test of proportion at 0.05 level of significance. Major findings of the study included among others; that accreditation exercises had positive impact on information and infrastructural resources. It was recommended that though there were increase in the provision of these resources in the university libraries, there is need for continues provision of quality, adequate and current textbooks, journals, computers, internet facilities, seats and general upkeep of the university libraries. This is especially important this time that the number of students (undergraduate and postgraduate) has continued to increase.
