Assessment of students and staff use of library resources and services in Imo State University, Owerri

Abstract

The study assessed the students’ and staff use of library resources and services in Imo State University, Owerri. The researchers adopted survey design for the study. Questionnaire was used for data collection. Random technique was used to select sample size of two hundred and eleven (211) students and forty(40) staff used for the study. Data was analyzed using mean statistical method. Result of the findings showed that students and staff of Imo State University make use of the library, although from the data student used the library more than the staff. The researchers recommended among others that book resources, e-resources and ICT facilities be made available to enhance library services and also a conducive reading environment to encourage staff and students to use the library.
