Dynamics of African Dance
Abstract
This paper states that dancing in Africa serves a vital function in human society achieving social cohesion or togetherness, causing the people to feel a deep sense of communion with each other and even with their ancestors and deities. African dance is examined under eight different sub groups - physical behaviour, cultural behaviour, social behaviour, psychological behaviour, economic behaviour, political behaviour, communication behaviour and artistic behaviour.
