Synthesis and spectral properties of Chromium(III) complex of Semicarbazone derived from Isatin
Abstract
A Chromium(III) complex was prepared by reacting isatin-3-semicarbazone (ISSCH) with chromium(III) chloride. The complex was characterized by molar conductance, magnetic moment, infrared, far-infrared and electronic spectra and elemental analysis. The ligand exists in keto tantomeric form and it coordinates through imino nitrogen and two carbonylo oxygen atoms. Octahedral structure [C0LISSC]Cl] for is suggested.
