Peer review
All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal and screening by the Editor-in-Chief, and, if found suitable for further consideration, will enter peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. We use a double-blind peer review process.
Full length articles, letters, brief communications, matters arising, technical reports, field notes, analysis, perspectives and insights are all peer reviewed. Correspondence and all forms of published correction may also be peer-reviewed at the discretion of the editors.
Reviewer selection is critical to the publication process, and we base our choice on many factors, including but not limited to expertise, reputation, specific recommendations and our own previous experience of a reviewer's characteristics.
In general, to be acceptable, a paper should represent an advance in understanding likely to influence thinking in economics, with strong evidence for their conclusions. There should be a discernible reason why the work deserves the visibility of publication in the Ghanaian Journal of Economics.
