Abstract
The study sought to investigate the challenges faced by pregnant teenagers in Mamokgadi village in the Limpopo province of South Africa. The study used the exploratory research design and a qualitative approach. Purposive sampling was used to select study participants and an unstructured interview technique was used to collect data from participants. Data were analyzed qualitatively using narrative analysis. The study revealed that parents do not appreciate and support pregnant teenagers; hence those who fell pregnant reportedly lost parental support. They also lost friendship of their peers and respect of the community hence were discriminated against. The study recommended that teenagers be empowered with information and knowledge on reproductive health, that government includes sex education in the curriculum and strictly monitors its implementation. Further research be carried out on the causes and effects of teenage pregnancy to the community.
