Nigeria's Changing Investment Climate: The Private Sector Perspective
Abstract
This paper chronicles the progressive policy changes that started with the Structural Adjustment Programme (SAP), culminating in the broad reform strategies of recent years, and traces their impact on the country's investment climate. Evidently, active implementation of reforms since 2001 has resulted in modest positive changes in the ICT and financial sectors where the investment climate has improved the most; however poor infrastructure remains a major impediment to reaping the rewards of the gains made in macroeconomic management.
