Early onset peak-dose L-dopa induced dyskinesia in 55-year-old Ethiopian Parkinson’s disease patient
Abstract
A case study of a 55-year-old newly diagnosed Parkinson’s disease patient naïve to L-dopa, who develop disabling early onset L-dopa induced dyskinesia (LID), which occurs immediately following L-dopa administration is presented. It is recommend to start with low dose L-dopa and to escalate slowly to avoid L-dopa included dyskinesia in dopamine naïve Parkinson’s disease patients.
