Peer Review
The journal has a peer review system. For one manuscript two reviewers are assigned with blind review system. The time given for reviewing is two months and authors are required to by one incorporate the comments given by reviewers and send back revised versions to the editor- in-chief or associate editor- in-chief. The revised manuscript would be sent to the previous reviewers to check whether all the comments are incorporated or not within two weeks. If all the comments are incorporated and the reviewers are satisfied the final revised manuscript would be sent to the language editor. Finally, if the editorial committee is satisfied with the review and revision process, manuscripts would be published.
Open Access Policy
Since it is hosted by the Faculty of Social Sciences of Bahir Dar University, the EJSS is a free access journal. We believe that since the goal of research is to solve societal problems findings should be freely accessible to readers.
Publication Scheduling
This journal publishes two issues a year.
