Sources of Support
The source of the support is funds from University of Gondar, which is the host of the journal. The journal does not charge for hard copies. The journal distributes hard copies to any interested institution, organization, and author for free.
Peer Review
Manuscript should be submitted to the online system of the journal at “http://journal.uog.edu.et/index.php/EJNCS”. The system automatically acknowledges the corresponding author up on receiving the manuscript. A manuscript ID will be assigned to each submitted manuscript and this will be used in all correspondence regarding the manuscript. The, Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the Editorial Manager assigns the manuscript to an Associate Editor (AE).
The AEs are responsible for the scientific and intellectual content of the journal in their fields. They are responsible for obtaining reviewers for manuscripts assigned to them. The AEs review and evaluate the technical content of the manuscript and its suitability for publication and recommends to the Editor-in-Chief the course of action regarding an assigned manuscript.
The Eth J Nat Comp Sci uses double blind peer review model and authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Two reviewers are required per paper, and the process of reviewing the article along with recommendations must be done within 15 days.
If the reviewers recommend the manuscript for publication without change and the Associate Editor agrees, the manuscript and the reviewer report are sent to the Editor-in-Chief for decision. Decision shall be made in meeting of the Editorial Board, consisting of Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, and Associate Editors. The author of an accepted manuscript will be notified by the Editorial Manager.
If the reviewers and the AEs recommend that the manuscript could be published after revision, the manuscript is returned to the authors by the Editorial Manager for incorporation of reviewers’ comments appropriately. If the reviewers and the AEs rejected the manuscript for vivid reasons, the Associate Editor sends the manuscript and reviewers’ comments to the Editor-in-chief. Final decision shall be made in the meeting of the Editorial Board. If a manuscript returned to an author for revision is not returned back within 10 days, it will be considered rejected.
Page proofs shall be sent to the designated author through email, and the manuscript must be corrected carefully and returned within 7 days.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Publication Scheduling
This journal publishes two issues a year.
