Abstract

 Après l’Indépendance de la Côte-d’Ivoire, en 1960, on constate des disparités économiques entre les régions du Sud et du Nord du pays. La région d’Odienné, située dans le Nord-ouest, en est une illustration parfaite. Dans un contexte économique de plus en plus difficile et soucieux de pallier à ce déséquilibre les cadres de cette région, soutenus par les pouvoirs publics décidèrent de remédier à ce problème par la création d’entreprises en l’occurrence la Société Commerciale et Industrielle pour le Développement d’Odienné (SOCIDO) devenue plus tard la Société de Développement Industriel de la Région d’Odienné (SODIRO), filiale du groupe "Multi produits". Enfin de compte, il s’agissait pour les fils de la région de ravitailler Odienné, située loin de la capitale économique, des produits de première nécessité. Cependant, l’espoir suscité par ces projets a été de courte durée replongeant ainsi la région dans une léthargie. L’objectif de cette étude est de montrer l’espoir suscité par l’exécution de ce projet industriel qui constitue, à n’en point douter, un frein à l’hémorragie humaine vers le Sud forestier plus attrayant, a été perdu.

English Abstract

After the independence of Côte-d'Ivoire in 1960, there were economic disparities between the southern and northern regions of the country. The region of Odienne in the northwest is an absolute illustration. In an increasingly difficult economic context and anxious to compensate for imbalances in the region, executives supported by the public authorities decided to remedy them by the creation of companies in this case the Commercial and Industrial Company for the Development of 'Odienne (SOCIDO) later became the Industrial Development Company of the Odienne Region (SODIRO), a subsidiary of the "Multi products" group. The objective of this study is to show the hope aroused by the execution of this industrial project which undoubtedly constitutes a brake on human hemorrhage towards the more attractive forest south. Finally, it was a question for the sons and executives of the region of supplying Odienne located far from the economic capital of essential products.
