Abstract

Dans cet article, nous avons analysé la question du civisme en Afrique subsaharienne. Notre démarche a consisté en une exégèse des textes d’auteurs qui ont abordé le thème afin de mieux nous permettre d’élucider notre opinion sur la question. Notre objectif est de chercher si l’incivisme actuel des subsaharien n’aurait pas une partie de son explication dans son passé colonial. Aussi, pour résoudre ce problème d’incivisme, il faut penser et leur administrer une éducation civique de type cathartique, c’est-à-dire capable de les libérer de leur dépendance psychologique vis-à-vis de l’ancienne puissance colonisatrice et faire d’eux des citoyens capables. Cette éducation civique doit penser et enseigner des valeurs inspirées de la réalité socio-historique du continent et qui soient capables de restituer aux Africains leur identité et la confiance en eux-mêmes.

In this article, we have analyzed the issue of citizenship in sub-Saharan Africa. Our approach consisted of an exegesis of the texts of authors who have approached the theme in order to better enable us to elucidate our opinion on the question. Our objective is to show that the current incivility of sub-Saharans can have part of its explanation in their colonial past. Also, to solve this problem of incivility, it is necessary to think and administer to them a civic education of the cathartic type, that is to say capable of freeing them from their psychological dependence vis-à-vis the former colonizing power and make them capable citizens. This civic education must think about and teach values inspired by the socio-historical reality of the continent and which are capable of restoring to Africans their identity and self-confidence.
