Abstract

Il n'y a de raison qu‟humaine. Et la rationalité philosophique, de quelque manière qu'on la mène, devrait être au service de l'humanité de l'être humain. Loin donc d‟une approche théorique sans ancrage socio-culturel, l‟éveil de la pensée philosophique en Afrique a fait option d‟un tournant pratique qui n‟en atténue aucunement l‟enjeu théorico-rationnel. Avec son option radicale pour la phénoménologie, méthode renouvelée de la philosophie contemporaine, l‟itinéraire philosophique de Paulin Hountondji, philosophe béninois et penseur africain, vise à expliquer le sens des choses notamment de l‟humain que nous sommes. L‟enjeu de cette analyse est de présenter ce laborieux chemin de pensée et d‟en extraire la pertinence pour le vivre-ensemble. De cette richesse spéculative encore à découvrir, on y perçoit l‟ébauche d‟une pensée africaine au service du vivre-ensemble et en mesure de servir de fondement à la reconstruction du soi africain contre toutes les aliénations encore en cours sur le continent.

English Abstract

There is only human reason. And philosophical rationality, however it is conducted, is at the service of the humanity of the human being. Far from a theoretical approach without socio-cultural anchoring, the awakening of philosophical thought in Africa has opted for a practical turn that in no way attenuates the theoretical-rational issue. With his radical option for phenomenology, a renewed method of contemporary philosophy, the philosophical itinerary of P. Hountondji, Beninese philosopher and African thinker, seeks to show that there is no philosophy except human beings. The challenge of this communication is to present this laborious path of thought and to extract its relevance for living together. From this speculative wealth still to be discovered, we perceive the outline of an African thought at the service of living together and able to serve as a foundation for the reconstruction of the African self against all the divisions still in progress on the continent.
