Capillary testicular hemangioma in an infant: A case report
Abstract
Capillary testicular hemangioma is a rare disease that predominantly affects children. Presentation mimics testicular malignancy thereby creating challenge in the differential diagnosis. We report a case of a 9-month-old infant who presented with unilateral testicular swelling. Testicular biopsy revealed a capillary hemangioma. Treatment was oral propranolol for sixty days with complete regression of the swelling. We share our clinical experience and diagnostic challenges so as to raise awareness of this particular rare entity.
