Alloplastic replacement of an avulsed nose: A case report from a resource challenged setting
Abstract
Introduction: Reconstruction of facial defects often requires surgery, but prosthetic rehabilitation is a viable option. Prosthetic rehabilitation of such defects is challenging. We present a case of prosthetic rehabilitation of an avulsed nose rehabilitated with tissue adhesive retained silicone rubber.
Objective: We aimed to illustrate prosthetic rehabilitation for an avulsed nose as an alternative to surgical reconstruction.
Conclusion: Prosthetic rehabilitation of an avulsed nose is achievable with silicone rubber and skin adhesive.
