Eastern African Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences welcomes original research articles and charges a publication fee of USD$250 for non-members and USD$150 for members.

Publisher information
Utafiti Foundation is a voluntary and charitable organisation registered under Section 10 of the Societies Act. The organisation was co-founded by Prof M. N. Wanyama and Maina T. Sammy and issued with a certificate of registration on 19th April, 2011. The Foundation has among its core objectives, a mandate to raise, mobilize and utilize all appropriate resources including human and financial aid, for charitable purposes and for the promotion of the objectives of the Foundation.
Peer review
All research articles published in the Eastern African Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences undergo full peer review, the key characteristics of which are listed below: All research articles are reviewed by at least two suitably qualified experts. All publication decisions are made by the journal’s Editors-in-Chief on the basis of the reviews provided. Members of the international Editorial Boards lend insight, advice, and guidance to the Editors-in-Chief generally and assist in decision-making on specific submissions. Managing Editors and Editorial Assistants provide the administrative support that allows the Eastern African Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences to maintain the integrity of peer review while delivering rapid turnaround and maximum efficiency to authors, reviewers, and editors alike. Eastern African Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences additionally benefits through the manuscript referral process from the high-quality peer review conducted by established journals.
