La personne et le corps humain selon l’anthropologie africaine-bantu

Abstract

L’auteur veut mettre en exergue l’anthropologie unitaire de l’univers bantu, où l’être humain est conçu comme un tout unifié et indivisible, contrairement à ce qu’affirme une certaine anthropologie dualiste de type occidental. Pour asseoir son argumentaire, il puise  dans sa propre culture et dans la culture chrétienne, des notions fondamentales relatives à la signification des concepts “personne  humaine” et “corps humain”; et aux relations constitutives de tout homme. Il en ressort que, la personne humaine est  fonfamentalemennt une plaque tournante des relations que même la mort ne détruit pas.

The author seeks to highlight the unitary anthropology of the Bantu universe, in which the human being is conceived as a unified and  indivisible whole, contrary to what is affirmed by a certain dualistic anthropology of the Western type. To support his argument, he draws  on his own culture and on Christian culture for fundamental notions about the meaning of the concepts “human person” and “human  body”, and about the relationships that make up every human being. The result is that the human person is fundamentally a hub of  relationships that even death cannot destroy.
