Mjiba Frehiwot, University of Ghana
Mjiba Frehiwot (mfrehiwot@ug.edu.gh) is a Research Fellow in the History and
Politics section at the Institute of African Studies at the University of Ghana.
Her primary research focuses on Pan-Africanism, African political thought social
movements in Global Africa and the African Diaspora. She is currently working on
a project titled, “Outside or Inside: The Contributions of the African Diaspora to
Ghanaian Cultural Life” where she focuses on the exchange of cultural features
based on the foundation of African identity. She is a co-primary investigator on the
Afro-Asian Futures Past project. Her specific research focuses on, “Gender and
Decoloniality in Modern African Thought and Societies
