Couette flow of a hydro-magnetic electrically conducting fluid with temperature dependent viscosity and heat generation/absorption
Abstract
Numerical solution of the problem of Couette flow of a hydromagnetic electrically conducting fluid has been obtained where the temperature of the fluid is assumed to vary exponentially. Results obtained for the flow velocity, temperature, skin friction and rate of heat transfer indicate that the temperature is higher when the magnetic field is fixed relative to the fluid, than when the magnetic field is fixed relative to the plates.
