Abstract

The new designed complexes via CT interaction between kryptofix 5 and two organic acceptors to introduce basic data that can be used to assessment of crown ether and tested the final complexes against cancer cells. This target was achieved by synthesis of a new CT- complexes of kryptofix 5 as a type of mixed nitrogen–oxygen crown ethers with π-acceptors as (2 hydroxy-3.5-dinitrobenzoic acid and 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone). These obtained complexes were structurally characterized in both solid and liquid state via various chemical methods as elemental analysis, FT-IR, NMR, and UV–Visible spectroscopy, thermal degradation and physical properties were calculated. Finally, the CT complex was also tested for its anticancer activity against two human cancer cell lines; colon cancer CaCo2 and liver cancer cell line (hepG2).
