Abstract
Résumé
L'étude porte sur le lontomba, langue bantoue classée C.23 par Guthrie (1948), telle qu'il est parlé dans la région du Lac Inongo (Maindombe). L'esquisse est une réponse à l'appel à la documentation des dialectes et autres aspects linguistiques mongo du Sud lancé par feu Père G. Hulstaert à l'occasion du Premier Colloque du Centre Aequatoria tenu en octobre 1987. Elle aborde successivement la phonétique et la phonologie ainsi que la morphologie. Ce dernier volet, le plus élaboré de l'étude après examen du système de classes et d'accord, est présente, dans le détail, divers faits relatifs aux nominaux, pronominaux, verbaux et particules diverses.

Abstract
The study is on Lontomba (C.23 by Guthrie (1948)), as it is spoken in the Lake Inongo (or Maindombe) area. The sketch is a contribution to the documentation of the southern Lomongo dialects. At the first Colloquium of the Centre Aequatoria (October 1987), G. Hulstaert called upon scholars to further the research on the languages and dialects spoken in the area around the two lakes Inongo and Tumba. The present study analyses phonetic, phonological and morphological aspects of the Ntomba language, with an emphasis on morphology. After discussing the concord system, the morphological features of nouns, pronouns, verbs and particles are presented in detail.
