Le texte publié ci-dessous en lingmb (C 30) et en traduction française a été conçu par Harry Van Thiel, missionnaire de Mill Hill. Il le lançait comme Livre de lecture pour les écoles primaires en 1945 et il fut réimprimé en 1990 (chaque fois sans traduction et sans tons). Ce recueil qui n'est pas totalement une production de la tradition orale ngOmbE, mais c'est plutôt un mélange de fables ngOmbE et de l'imagination créatrice de l'auteur. Alliant les thèmes de l'amour du travail, de l'endurance et de l'hygiène à celui du savoir-vivre et du savoir-être, van Thiel y prêche surtout le respect du Très Haut, l'honnêteté, l'humilité, l'obéissance, la soumission, la gratitude, le respect des personnes âgées et celui des biens d'autrui. Le lingmb utilisé ici est celui de Jmb dans la région de Bongandanga.

The text published below in lingmb (C 30) and in French translation has been conceived by Harry Van Thiel, missionary of Mill Hill. He produced a Reader for the primary schools in 1945 and was reprinted in 1990 (without translation and without tones). This compilation is not entirely a product of the oral tradition of the Ngmb, but is rather a mixture of ngmb fables and the 's creative imagination. Combining themes of love of work, endurance and hygiene, to the savoir-vivre and of savoir-être, Van Thiel especially preaches respect of the Allmighty, honesty, humility, obedience, submissiveness, gratitude, respect of the aged people and kindness to others. The lingmb used here is the Jmb variant (from the region of Bongandanga.
