About the Journal
Peer Review
Manuscripts received at the editorial office are reviewed by the Editor-in-chief to establish suitability for publication in Annals of Modern Education. The Editor-in-Chief will then further review for academic/scientific merit and if determined acceptable, the paper is emailed to the appropriate reviewer(s). The Editorial Board bears the heaviest burden for the review process but outside reviewers may be selected in the field of the submitted manuscript. Upon review (normally within 4-6 weeks), papers considered acceptable are returned to authors for suggested changes and final approval. A manuscript rejected by review will be released to the author as unsuitable for publication. A split decision on the merits of a manuscript will be decided by the Editor-in-Chief.

Focus and Scope
The Annals of Modern Education publishes regular papers reporting findings of empirical research of interest to the international audience of researchers in education. However, review articles on specific educational topics will also be entertained. The paper should describe and discuss the research in a way that will be comprehensible to a global audience of researchers and non-specialists. Manuscripts in all areas of Education – Adult Education, Curriculum and Teaching, Students' Perspectives on Learning Environments, Environmental Education, Social and Special Education, Motivational and Emotional Aspects of Learning, Educational Foundation, etc, will be considered for publication. The Journal aims to facilitate the engagement of researchers world-wide with findings and issues most relevant to their own interests. Submitted papers are subject to peer review by reputable researchers who are experts in relevant fields. Our referees will evaluate the quality of research as well as the relevance and accessibility of a paper for an international audience.
