An examination of the psycho-social factors maintaining a persistent non-job Seeking behaviour of women cross-culturally: the case of Nigeria and Lesotho Southern Africa
Abstract
Introduction: A paramount attention in the national polity today, and, perhaps, cross-culturally,is that, research investigations are needed to identify and classify the multi-psychosocial factors maintaining voluntary and compulsive idleness among able bodied women
Method: Descriptive survey, in a cross-sectional format was utilized in an opinion survey using 994 female participants drawn from Nigeria and Lesotho.
Results: Out of a total number of 994, 96.7% of the participants said they were not bother about their idleness and, or unemployment since only God directs whatever affect human beings. Using the literacy continuum, computed outcome was statistically significant{F(3,785)=8.30;P<0.05] summarized details from Nigeria only; [F(3,201)=6.82;P<0.05]from Lesotho only and that from both Nigeria and Lesotho[F(6,987)=8.72;P<0.05] respectively.
