Managing the reaction effects of speech disorders on speech defectives
Abstract
No human society fails to penalize speech disorders though even some may be more lenient than others. Speech disorders is responsible for defective speaking. It is usually speech disorders people penalize. Unfortunately, it is the speech defectives that bear the consequences resulting from penalizing speech disorders. Consequences for punishing speech disorders on speech defectives are what is referred to as reaction effects. These effects could be frustration, anger, fear, anxiety. They occur as a result of persistent frustrations which speech defectives usually encounter for speaking defectively. This paper identified both reactions to speech disorders and the consequences to the reactions (reaction effects) on persons having speech disorders. Speech disorders must be treated so that speech defectives will be helped out of their speech problems and be prevented from becoming obsessed by frustrations resulting from their speech disorders.
