Use of i-gel® as a ventilatory device in a Parturient with kyphoscoliosis undergoing emergency Caesarean section

Abstract

We report a case of a 25 year old pregnant woman with kyphoscoliosis planned for repeat emergencyCaesarean section under general anesthesia in view of fetal distress. The cardiorespiratory status of thepatient was stable. We used i-gel, a novel supraglottic airway device for ventilation.
