A Critical Analysis of Corruption and Governance in Nigeria
Abstract
We examined the impact of corruption on governance in Nigeria based on an analysis of secondary data. Our analysis showed that corruption has become pervasive and widespread in the Nigeria society; it is a re-occurring decimal in the process of governance. The pervasiveness of corruption has ferociously eroded the principles of good governance, as evident in the ineffective and inefficient management of state resources. Eradicating or significantly reducing it will enhance the prospect of good governance in Nigeria.
