Author Guidelines
Aim and Scope:
AGEERS is the premier peer-reviewed journal among professionals interested in agriculture, community development and social advancement of knowledge related numerous disciplines including social works, social sciences, social and economic development.
SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPT
All articles submitted to the journal are peer-reviewed. Article published in the Journal of Agricultural Economics and Extension Research Studies must be relevant to practice.
Articles should be type –written in English, double spaced only one side of A4 (210 by 297mm) paper and not more than 12 double spaced pages (Using one – inch margins and Times New Roman, 12 – point font), inclusive of references tables, figures and appendixes.
- Indicate on the cover page the title of manuscript and name (initials followed by surname and address)
- Capitalize first letter of each word of the title
- Type initials and surname of authors below the title.
- Capitalize only the first letter of the surname
- Include the email address of the corresponding author.
Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has not been published elsewhere and that it has not been submitted simultaneously for publication elsewhere. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from
other sources and are required to sign an agreement for the transfers of copyright to the publisher. All accepted manuscript, artwork and photographs become the property of the publisher. Each article has a peer review fee of N2000 (authors in Nigeria) or 10USD (authors outside Nigeria).
Abstract:
Abstract of about 200 to 250 words (below the abstract provide maximum of 5 key words)
Results & Discussion:
Results should be clearly described in a clear manner. The discussion should not repeat the results, but provide detailed interpretation of data. This should interpret the significance of the findings of the work. Citations should be given in support of the findings.
Tables:
Table should be presented before the discussion. Table headings should be placed above the table. Number each table and give it an explicit title. Capitalize the first letter of each word or of proper nouns of the table title. Every table must have a source. Tables should not have multiple lines.
Figures:
Number each figure; centralize the figure number below the figure, given an appropriate title to each figure. Capitalize the first letter of each word or of proper nouns of the figure title. Figures should be presented before discussion.
Conclusions:
This should briefly state the major findings of the study.
Acknowledgments:
A brief acknowledgment section may be given after the conclusion section just before the references. All sources of funding should be declared as an acknowledgment.
References:
References, citations and general style of manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the APA publication Manual 6th ed. Cite in the text by author and date (Henri-Ukoha et al. 2017) and include an alphabetical list at the end of the article example,
