Counselling Pupils with Psychological Problems in Classroom
Abstract
Experts had observed that negative early childhood experiences influence behaviour patterns later in life. Such a child has a lo of emotional problems
which include: withdrawal behaviour, fear, worry, anger, sadness, and depression. A child with emotional disturbance though not mentally retarded may be extremely withdrawn and does not respond to his environment. The behaviour of such a child interferes with his own growth processes and consequently hinders his progress. This study sets out to recommend ways and how/approaches a teacher counsellor adopts in dealing with such situations in the classroom.
