Use of Chemotherapy in Pregnancy Associated Breast Cancer - A Report of Two Cases

Abstract

We report two cases of pregnancy associated breast cancer that had doxorubicin based chemotherapy administered in the second and third trimester of pregnancy. Pregnancy and delivery was uneventful. Babies were healthy and showed no demonstrable congenital anomalies. Developmental milestones so far have been normal. Large International series have confirmed the safety of chemotherapy in pregnancy associated breast cancer when administered from the second trimester.
